Note:This is a Mitsubishi PLGR Starter for Acura RL. This Unit Looks Very Similar to the 17275, Except the Field Case is Shorter (17275 is a 2.0kw; 17710 is 1.6kw). Both Starters Use a 9-Tooth Drive. They May Interchange, if Space Permits. Acura Service Bulletin #02-031, Dated 11/4/2002, States That "Mismanufactured Drive Plate Teeth" Can Cause a Grinding Sound During Cranking. The Cure is to Replace the Drive Plate (Also Known as the Flywheel and / or Ring Gear Assembly). The Acura Part Number of This Plate is #26250-PY3-010.
