Note:This is a Starter for the 2004-On Mazda RX-8 w/AT. Mazda Bulletin #01-048/06 States That if the Starter Number on the Tag is "N3H2-A" (17916), the Starter Needs to Be Replaced. If the Starter Number on the Tag is "N3H2-B" or "N3Z2" (or Later - 17992), the Starter Does Not Need to Be Replaced. The Bulletin Goes on to Say That Cars With VIN #JM1FE17N***148961 and Below are Affected. The Result of the Improved Starter is to Crank the Engine Faster to Help Overcome a Flooding / No Start Condition.
