Note:This is a 12-Volt Delco 42MT Starter, Using DE Housing #10496272, an 11-Tooth Drive (Accurate #4-486), and a Right Hand Mount Lever Housing. The 6555 is the Same Unit, Except Using a "Jump Start Protection" Solenoid. The 6554 is the Same as the 6511, Except Using an Overcrank Protection Thermostat. It Was Originally Thought That the 6356 Would Not Interchange, as the Drive End Was Different. As it Turns Out, the Only Difference is the Location of the Holes Used in Rotation (Locating) of the DE Frame. This Frame Allows for a Set of Just Slightly Different Degree Rotation Than the 6356 DE Frame. In the Real World This Slight Difference Has Not Made a Significant Difference in Many of the Applications. We Will Keep the Numbers Seperate, as There May Be Times When it is Necessary.
