Note:This is a Hitachi PMGR Starter for 1997-On Nissan With the 2.0L - SR20DE Engine. This Starter Has a Similar Appearance to the 17246 (Hitachi Version), Except This Unit Has a Nose Cone. This Unit Also Has a Single Lead Off the Solenoid For the Ignition Terminal, Similar to the 17246, Which May Interchange With This Unit. Nissan (Infiniti) Has a TSB (#ITB01-063 Dated 10/17/2001) Which Warns of a Noisy Engagement Problem, Especially When Cold, Caused by the Grease in the Starter Draining Out During Periods of High Temperature. Use of a High Temperature Grease in the Starter Will Cure This. | This is Exactly the Same as the Later Version of the 17745 (S114-831), Except This Unit Does Not Use an Ignition Wire Off the Solenoid, Nor Does the Drive End Housing Have the Mounting for the Pigtail Bracket. There is Also a Reference to a Kia Cefiro Application For This Unit.
