Note:This is a Mitsubishi Starter for the 2005-On Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2006-On Jeep Commander With the 5.7L Hemi Engine. According to Dealer It Can Be Replaced With The Later 17948 ONLY if a New OE Heatshield is used, if no 17948 Heat Sheild is provided, a 17948 cannot replace a 17938, or vice versa. The heat sheilds are not interchangeable between a 17938 and 17948. The M0T31572 (17937) Used on the Same Truck Witht he 4.7L Engine is the Same Unit, Except the Field Case is Shorter. (Lower kw Rating).
