Note:Although This Unit Looks Like the Earlier Used 6489 (1.5kw - PG260F2 or PG260G), This is a Smaller PG260D Version, and Has a 9-Tooth (Instead of 11-Tooth) Drive. This Unit Was Used in Many Applications Where the 6489 Was Used in Previous Years, and There are Times Where the Space Will Allow the Larger 6489 to Fit in Place of the 6494, But in the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe / GMC Yukon With the 5.3L Engine it Has Been Discovered That the 6489 is Too Large to Use in Place of the 6494. ThereMay Be Other Instances Where the Same is True. | The Newest Number Here is 8000150, Which is GM #12604477, Which AC/Delco Also Points to 323-1623 (8000045). It is Possible That the 8000150 May Actually Be an Even Newer Series Starter Than the 8000045, Although Fitting the Same Engines (2007 vs 2006). The 8000045 Replaces the 9000939 - the Only Difference Appears to Be the 8000045 Has a De-Icing (Vented) Solenoid Cap.
